Following is another of a write up in its early stages written by my brother Saurabh Mehndiratta, on the notion of time and despair. Enjoy the read !
---- Time and Despair ---
Are dates and time relevant? Perhaps they are not, time goes by and we ponder over the moments that existed somewhere. Life is a great leveller, it teaches us in one but many ways that one cannot control the ever moving clock.
Some of us do come close in capturing the moment, those seconds when life seems still, everything comes to a standstill. Those are the moments when we are closest to ourselves, as we realise that it is as it is. It is not that one gets to control time but the thought of holding it disappears. It is not important whether the moments were in deep despair or utter bliss but the realisation that life is, full, complete , in that moment. Time disappears and one is in unison with one self, everything is absolute and not relative.
Days gone by, unlived moments makes us remorseful, all of us know that what we are is a result of set of certain choices and in hindsight, everything could be what we wanted if those choices were not the ones actually made.
